The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations. The CFO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Board of Directors.
The CFO is one of many “C-suite” roles within an organization. Generally, the CFO works closely with the COO and CAO.
Other important “C-suite” roles within an organization include the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
